THe Itinerary
Arrival Day, Virginia Beach
Families will make their way to Hyatt Place Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Check in and take a break from your rode trip or flight.
Late afternoon all families will meet on the beach for some ice breaking games, introductions, weekend overview and snacks.
Then you can spend the remainder of your evening exploring Virginia beach on your own or together!
Day 2 Morning, Williamsburg
Good Morning! Breakfast is served at the hotel. Then we all will board the vans to journey together to Colonial Williamsburg. Here we will be transported back in time and immersed in to Colonial times and learn some interesting facts about the beginning of our nation.
After our exploration will have lunch at a local restaurant then head to Hampton.
Day 2 Afternoon, Hampton
Hampton, Virginia holds a significant amount Black history sites. Including Emancipation Oak at Hampton University, and the First Africans in Virginia marker at Fort Monroe.
We will have the opportunity to visit Ft. Monroe and see & stand at the marker where the 1st Africans on American soil landed.
We will then make our way to Hampton University an HBCU private university that is the home of the Emancipation Oak and Legacy Park.

In 1861 droves of self-emancipated enslaved people rushed behind federal lines to reach nearby Fort Monroe in search of freedom. A free Black teacher named Mary Peake was recruited to teach the newcomers. She held her first class, which consisted of about twenty students, under the tree on September 17, 1861. The first Southern reading of President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation took place beneath the tree in 1863, thus earning the tree its name, Emancipation Oak. In 1868 the Hampton Normal and Agricultural Institute (later Hampton University) was established on this site by Brigadier General Samuel Armstrong."
After that we decompress and reflect with a fun ride on a 1920 Hampton Carousel then make our way to The Historic Village of Phoebus for site-seeing, shopping and dinner.
Returning back to the hotel to relax in our rooms, the pool or the beach.
Day 3 Morning, Chesapeake
Good Morning! After Breakfast at hotel we will load vans for next journey into Virginia history. Traveling to Chesapeake to tour the Historic Village of Dismal Swamp.

It is sure to be an interesting and exciting place.
Next we will have lunch at a local restaurant then head to Norfolk for an afternoon cruise on the American Rover.
Day 3 Afternoon, Norfolk
In the afternoon we will vacate land and take to the Harbor as we set sail on a 2 hour cruise on board the American Rover. You might be able to lend a hand setting sail or take a turn at the helm. Either way it is sure to be an awesome adventure.
Once our cruise has commenced we will make our way back to the hotel but first stopping at a local restaurant to enjoy one last meal together before our Virginia adventure ends.
Day 4 Heading Home
It was a great adventure and hope to see each of you on the next one. It will be on the more creative side. Stay tuned and be safe heading home!

What is the event Price?
- $250 per adult and $225 per Child
- 2 and under are free
When is payment due?
- Deposit of $50 per person is due within 30 days of registration
- Balance is due by July 16, 2027
Can I make monthly payments?
- Yes, each family will receive an invoice upon registration that will allow you to make payments until balance is paid in full as often as you like up until 7/16/27 when the final balance is due.
What forms of payment do you accept?
- Visa, Mastercard, discover, American Express, Affirm, & After pay
What is the cancellation policy?
- You may cancel your registration at any time, however there are no refunds 90 days after deposit has been submitted or after May 1st, 2027. Whichever occurs first. You are encouraged & highly recommend to purchase travel insurance.
Is the hotel included in the event price?
- No, you will reserve and pay for your hotel separately.
What is the hotel rate?
- The hotel rate starts at $229 per night + tax
How many people can stay in one room?
- 4 MAX
Do I have to participate in all the activities?
- No, you do not have to participate in all the activities. Please note you will not receive a discount or refund for any activities you do not participate in.
Can I add on more days to my trip?
- Yes, contact Tiffany Hiatt directly via email, text or call and she will assist with getting the extra days added onto your stay.
What restaurants are we going to?
- Restaurants have not been determined yet. They will be confirmed and finalized by May 1, 2027 as we want to ensure we select places that can accommodate all dietary needs.
